When You Come to Beira’s Place

Welcome to Beira’s Place – Edinburgh Women’s Sexual Assault Support Centre. We’re glad that you have come to us for support.

We will do all we can to offer you the support you need, and we welcome your feedback on the service you receive from us so that we can continue to improve our service for survivors.

When you first contacted us, the support worker you spoke to will have explained that we would like you to complete a comprehensive assessment while you’re here. Wherever possible, the assessment will be carried out at a face-to-face appointment.

We have produced a factsheet ‘How we work with trauma’ that you will be given by the support worker who carries out the assessment, or that you can read from the website if you don’t want to have a paper copy. If you have any questions after you have read it through, just call us and we’ll be happy to answer them.
